Nervous system mentoring
Are you living with a chronic condition? Whether it be autoimmunity, a mysterious ailment no one has been able to diagnose, low energy, hormonal imbalances, anxiety, depression, digestive distress, fatigue.
Do you wonder if you just have to live like this for the rest of your life?
Are you tired of trying one thing after another, hoping this will be the thing that turns it all around?
If this is you, I am here for you affirming:
Empowerment in your own health and healing.
Dealing with a chronic condition can be despairing. Most doctors don’t even have a real diagnosis for you or if they do, they don’t know what causes it or how to heal it.
You start to try anything in hopes you’ll get relief, which can make you feel dis-empowered and disconnected from your inner knowing.
Nervous system mentoring guides you in connecting to your body and innate wisdom. You can be empowered in your own self-care and learn how to nurture balanced, regulated health in your life.
Hope that you can have balanced health.
It’s easy to feel like your present struggle will be your forever future.
Especially if you have been dealing with symptoms for a long time and tried a lot of stuff.
It can be hard to feel like there is a pathway to healing for you.
Having gone through this myself and come out the other side, and having seen hundreds of people do the same, I am confident your future can be way different than your now.
The process does take time, but with effective tools and an intimate connection with your own wisdom, healing happens.
Freedom that you can experience much more and follow the intuitive leads from your body, rather than the restrictive requirements of your chronic condition.
Do you avoid things you love like being around people, traveling, going out to eat?
Adjusting your life to avoid symptoms and accommodate a chronic condition can be exhausting, labor intensive, and isolating.
Healing on this foundational level can bring the freedom to live your life with much more ease, spontaneity, and inspiration.

My approach
Nervous system mentoring is a process where you receive tools, guidance, and the solid support that is necessary to reconnect you to your body and your innate self-healing capacity.
Particular attention is given to retraining the stress response in your system (which can cause of a ton of negative physiological responses in your body) and developing tools to know what the signals of your body are telling you and how to use them as a guide to heal.
Every person has their own unique path to healing. There is no right way to heal or a set formula that is going to work for everyone. But there are reliable components to healing that I have witnessed over and over in my practice. They all play a part in guiding the healing journey.
Connection is healing.
It is foundational to recovery and is often one of the first things we lose dealing with a chronic condition.
The path to healing involves tuning in and hearing the guidance of your body and inner wisdom.
With chronic symptoms, that ability can be diminished and may not be trusted.
Healing on this foundational level fosters re-connection to your own body, to others (no more going it alone in isolation), and to the deep well of knowing within you.
Awareness is key.
More often than not the factors (on the nervous system level) that contributed to an imbalance in your health go unnoticed.
Often you are so absorbed in trying to get better you are unaware that how you are going about healing can be actually contributing to your symptoms.
Being able to recognize thought patterns, habits, and stressors can make the all the difference in shifting your health.
Consistency is the glue that brings it all together.
It is a true cause for celebration that neuroplasticity exists. You do have the ability to shift your nervous system “set point” and to create a positive foundation for supporting your health.
But as a dear teacher of mine once said, “If you want to get in shape and just go for one run, that’s just not going to cut it!”
To shift into more health promoting ways of supporting your nervous system health takes consistency, just like getting in shape or losing weight or raising well-adjusted children for that matter!
It isn’t easy but with support and the positive feedback loop from doing the work, your new ways will become ingrained in your self-care.
