The Transforming touch method
The focus of Transforming Touch is to repair and heal the nervous system from ruptures in early stages of development.
From in utero to about the age of 5 is a critical time for nervous system development. This is when it is built and the set-point for nervous system regulation is formed.
Ideally during this time a child will have a smooth gestation and birth and will have a healthy adult with whom they can co-regulate (in order to make neural connections that foster resilience and regulation).
If this doesn't happen ruptures may occur. These ruptures may disrupt a person's life until they are addressed and processed.
